At Shri Ram Global School, Greater Noida, we believe that learning goes far beyond the classroom. This belief came to life when our bright student, Dhruv from Grade XI-E, was nominated for an exclusive Summer Training Program in Journalism organized by The Times of India – NIE (Newspaper in Education) for the academic year 2025–26.

This 5-day immersive experience offered a gateway into the dynamic world of journalism, media, and communication. It was not just a workshop — it was a launchpad for young minds to explore career opportunities in media, journalism, creative writing, and digital storytelling.

What Did the Workshop Offer?

The TOI NIE Summer Training was packed with activities that opened new doors for students:

  • Introduction to Journalism & News Writing: Students learned the basics of news reporting, editorial ethics, and how to differentiate fact from opinion.

  • Interactive Press Sessions & Role-Play: Participants took on the roles of editors, reporters, and anchors to understand newsroom dynamics.

  • Studio Visits: A behind-the-scenes tour of Radio Mirchi and TOI Film City Studios gave students firsthand exposure to real media production.

  • Printing Press Experience: They witnessed the power of mass communication at Asia’s largest newspaper printing press.
